DT Croatia – Dubrovnik Travel appoints Mrs. Monika Tadić as the Head of its Split sales focusing on sales for the entire Split & Dalmatian region.  Monika capitalizes on her upbringing and education in France and years of sales experience in order to bring an International character to the office.  Together with the DT Split sales team, she will be working on the development of DT’s programs for upcoming projects.

DT plans that Monika will establish new connections within the region in order to provide superb, tailor made solutions for groups in Split, Hvar, Zadar and the entire area.

euromic celebrates 40th anniversary

This non-commercial Association, a consortium created to promote on a worldwide basis its members and World Affiliates began the year with its annual general assembly in Paris, the birth place of this association.

DT, the only Croatian member of this prestigious organization was represented by Daniel Marusic, Euromic Board member at its third General Assembly held this January at the Intercontinental Paris le Grand by the French Euromic member, Holt Paris Welcome service, with a gala evening orchestrated on the Seine aboard the Mirage des yachts of Paris. On this occasion, the members had the opportunity to reconnect and discuss the future of the association and the trends in the industry.

The assembly elected a new President Mr Karim El Minabawy, President of Emeco Travel, the longstanding Egyptian member of the association. He took over the presidency from Mr Giancarlo Carrera, President of SM Travel in Switzerland and one of the founders of Euromic. The Association is administered by a Board of Directors composed of seven members, elected by the General Meeting, by secret ballot, from among the active members of the Association. Riviera Hotels Dubrovnik

The Hotel Dubrovnik Riviera project, worth over 50 million euros, is  scheduled to be completed for the 2014 season. A full reconstruction of the Hotel Astarea in Mlini, 15 km out of Dubrovnik, will create a 4* property available by the beginning of the 2013 season. The existing hotel Mlini (2 *) will be fully renovated and upgraded and the construction of new, modern boutique 4* hotel with 100 units. Demolition of hotel Orlando and the construction of a new 4* hotel with 260 units and other facilities.

Five villas in the area of hotel Orlando will be reconstructed and an existing beach bar “Češke banje” which will be positioned as a lounge bar in line with the latest market trends. The  facility that will include a shopping center with a garage for up to 70 garage parking spaces will be constructed. This new project will provide the Dubrovnik Riviera with more than 730 units and other accompanying facilities.

DT Celebrates 14 Years

The annual DT gala event held on 16 November 2012., in Marin Drzic Theatre, gathered all Dubrovnik Travel employees and owners. After a successful year, the tradition is that all employees come to the headquarter in Dubrovnik to celebrate many successes in the past year. The most important of them this year were nominations for best medium-sized business in the county, the excellent performance to solvency according to the company Bisnode and numerous exquisitely worked projects throughout the year.

In addition to the gala dinner, DT weekend activities included two workshops, “Employee engagement in high performance organizations” and “Employee engagement” organized for employees on 16 and 17 November 2012. The workshop was held by Mr. Besim Agušaj and Mrs. Milena Kužnin, professors at the American College of Management and Technology in Dubrovnik. On this occasion 14 years existence of the company DT Croatia – Dubrovnik Travel was marked.
