The ICCA (International Congress and Convention Association) recently released its country and city rankings.Croatia took 40th position in the world and 22nd place in Europe.
The European list of cities places Dubrovnik even higher than previous year, 13 places up – at 39th place.
Dubrovnik confirms its status as an attractive convention destination and continues to record a large number of conferences and congresses.
In 2013, a total of 368 were held, justifying its jump to 74th place on world’s congress destination list.
During the spring the large convention hotels in Dubrovnik – Valamar Lacroma, Dubrovnik Palace Hotel, Hotel Croatia, Sun Garden Radisson Blue and others – hosted major conferences with smaller meetings held in other hotels with convention facilities, with 2014 forecasted to be a very successful year.
Dubrovnik is no doubt the most popular destination in Croatia, but Split, Zagreb and Opatija are quickly catching up, giving Croatia that extra boost on the list.
