The new year starts with some great news of new hotels in Croatia. Exciting developments of the strongest incentive destinations include several new much needed hotels. As Croatia tops the charts as an incentive destination, hotel capacity is the only limit. Large international hotel brands are throwing their hats in the game, alongside some hotel business newcomers. Here are the few new hotel highlights to expect hearing about in the next year or so:
Dubrovnik Gets a Rixos Premium Property
The Rixos Libertas hotel enters the 2020 season with a new attitude. The Turkey-based hotel group decided to turn their Dubrovnik 5* into one of their Rixos Premium properties. Rixos Premium Dubrovnik sits perched on a rock over the Adriatic Sea, with a majestic south facing view. It a 15-minute walk from the Old city.
It has the only casino in Dubrovnik, and a Turkish bath. Its 310 rooms and suites emanate a contemporary aesthetic, superior comfort and convenience.
A spacious hall with a capacity of 900 guests can be divided into three separate rooms. There are 7 break out rooms and an exhibition area equipped with the state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment.
The Premium upgrade ensures the new Hotel Rixos is one of the top choices for incentives in Dubrovnik.
Split Gets Two New Luxury Hotels in 2020
Hotel Briig 5*, Split
Split’s newest boutique hotel inspires with fresh, art-influenced design and ecologically aware practices. It sits next to Bačvice, Split’s most famous beach. The area is teeming with beachside bars and clubs, in a vibrant atmosphere typical of Split.
Briig capitalizes on their breath-taking view of the Dalmatian islands with a rooftop spa.
Deliberately underbuilt, the hotel has only 64 rooms. Their spacious and contemporary conference hall can host up to 190 participants. For private meetings or presentations, the circle room can comfortably host 10. Striving for an authentic boutique experience and highly personalized service, it is a great addition to Split’s incentive-worthy hotels.
Hotel Ambasador 4 plus*, Split
After several years of careful preparation, this brand-new hotel is expected to open this fall. We are anticipating spectacular modern luxury right on the Adriatic seafront. The building’s rich history dating back to 1937 enhances Ambasador’s biggest asset, its location.
Set in the middle of Split’s urban centre, it looks back at Split’s famous Riva and the Palace.
The 4+ star luxury hotel will feature 101 rooms and suites. It will offer a conference room for 70 delegates and a restaurant with 210 pax capacity inside as well as a waterfront terrace. DT Croatia Split office awaits this new addition to their hotel offer with great anticipation.
Zagreb Awaits Opening of Croatia’s First Novotel
Croatia will get its first Novotel brand hotel in the first half of 2021. The hotel will be situated in the eastern suburb of Resnik, close to Zagreb. It will consist of a multifunctional ground floor building and a smaller tower with hotel rooms.
On the ground floor, the architect envisioned a piazza in the central green area where guests could mingle, have business meetings or relax.
The Zagreb Novotel will have 170 rooms and a large capacity for business meetings, conferences and events. Within 20 minutes of the city centre and Zagreb airport, the Novotel is a welcome asset.
Istria & Kvarner with Impressive New Hotel Projects
Several of the most impressive new hotels in Croatia are in Istria and the Kvarner bay. This is the closes sea front to Zagreb, only a two-hour drive from the airport.
Hilton Costabella Beach Resort and Spa 5*
Between the historic resort of Opatija and Rijeka, the 2020 European Capital of Culture, emerges the first Hilton resort in Croatia.
Hilton Costabella Beach Resort and Spa opens Spring 2020, boasting the capacity of 540 beds. Of that 132 units are rooms in the hotel and 66 will be villas.
All have balconies or terraces with views of the Adriatic Sea. The resort will feature six on-site restaurants and a private sandy beach. The complex will also have a 30-meter hotel pool and a grand spa. Opatija is the closest beach resort to Zagreb, just a 2-hour drive. Look for this alternative in the DT Croatia Zagreb proposal for your next incentive or conference.
Pical Convention Center 5*
Valamar group’s Pical Convention Center is scheduled to open by summer 2021. It is situated in a green bay near Poreč, a picturesque town dating back to Roman times.
The hotel grounds held one of the oldest hotels in the region. Building on that 514 year-old tradition, Valamar is creating 514 brand new gorgeous rooms and suites.
The luxurious five-star hotel will have the largest conference centre in Croatia. The congress hall for 700 and the 7 break out rooms will have the capacity to merge. The resulting 2300 pax event space make Pical a big asset to Croatia’s Meetings & Events offer.
